A Buskers Ball
Bob Dylan is 85 in May 2026.
Few artists have shaped music, poetry and storytelling quite like Dylan. His songs have traveled across generations, inspiring musicians, writers and dreamers around the world.
To mark this remarkable milestone, we invite you to a one-day festival of music, poetry, stories and performance — a gathering of artists and buskers paying tribute to one of the greatest songwriters of our time at the beautiful Burtown House & Gardens.
Venue: Burtown House & Gardens. Athy, Co. Kildare, R14 AE67
Date & Time: Saturday, May 23rd. Midday to midnight.
Lineup: The Bob Dylan Roadshow Band, Harry Fennell, Oracle Villa, Eileen Gogan, Alright Then, a bunch of buskers and more to be announced
Food & Drink: The Green Barn will be serving brunch from 9.00am – 11.15, lunch from 12.45pm – 3.30pm and dinner from 6.00pm – 8.30pm. Please book ahead for these options. Alongside this, Burtown Pantry will be open throughout the day for more casual dining — a place to drop in, gather with friends, and enjoy good things to eat and drink at your own pace.
Outdoors, we will be hosting a festival barbecue serving burgers, salads, vegetarian options and sweet treats throughout the day.
A full bar will be open across the event, offering wines, beers, botanical cocktails and non-alcoholic options.
See you there!

A taste of what’s to come
Here are some highlights from our 2025 event. We’ll be ‘bringing it all back home’ this May, so do get your tickets now. See you there!
Is the whole thing going backwards, are they playing our song …
”The thing about rock’n’roll is that for me anyway it wasn’t enough … there were great catch-phrases and driving pulse rhythms … but the songs weren’t serious or didn’t reflect life in a realistic way. When I got into folk music, it was more a serious type of thing, the songs are filled with more despair, more sadness, more triumph, more faith in the supernatural, much deeper feelings. “
